Madonna's MDNA Tour is an album by American singer and songwriter Madonna. It was released on March 26, 2012 through Interscope Records. This album includes the singles "Give Me All Your Luvin'" and "I Don't Give A". MDNA debuted at number one in 12 different countries, becoming Madonna's 10th chart topper as a solo artist and the best-selling album of 2012 worldwide. The album was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), denoting shipments of over 1,000,000 copies within a year. It was the best-selling album worldwide for 2012 with sales of more than 7.5 million copies, according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). The album was supported by three singles, "Give Me All Your Luvin'", "I Don't Give A", and "Turn Up the Radio". The album takes its title from Madonna's birth name. Madonna stated that she feels liberated since becoming a mother and wanted to convey this freedom through the title. Regarding Madonna's stage concept – which included dancers – she noted: "I want to be surrounded by creative people who want to speak about freedom and creativity and, at times, play with it. It is my art. It needs to be protected, so I tend to be a tough boss." On August 16, 2011, Billboard reported that the MDNA Tour would likely reach $160 million in gross revenue by the end of 2012. A new record was set with 465,746 attended shows which surpassed Madonna's previous record of 463,022 tickets throughout 2007-2008 Sticky & Sweet Tour. On March 19, 2012 it was announced that the tour grossed $305 million, becoming the highest grossing tour of all time and beating out The Rolling Stones' A Bigger Bang Tour (2005–2007), with $268 million. "MDNA" was met with mixed reviews. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album has received an average score of 56, based on 32 reviews, indicating "mixed or average reviews". However, some critics were more positive in their assessment of the album. John Lucas from "The Line of Best Fit" gave the album a positive review saying that ""MDNA" is by no means perfect but this is Madonna at her most interesting in years." Greg Kot from "Chicago Tribune" stated that ""MDNA" may be her most joyless record since 1992's "Erotica", but it's also her most self-assured". Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic gave the album a positive review saying that ""MDNA" is her most joyous, exciting, and entertaining album in years." Tim Sendra of AllMusic gave the album a mixed review saying that ""MDNA" is the thrilling world news of Madonna being at her most vital and alive. It's also an attempt to be more competitive in today's ever-growing market, that for many fans will prove too old-fashioned". Edna Gunderson from "USA Today" commented that "Madonna has lost none of her power to inspire devotion over the years, although she chose the wrong time to make this music". Some critics panned the lyrics. cfa1e77820
